MMTC/UVSheltron & MiR in Action!
Michigan Manufacturing Technical Center (MMTC), combined a MiR robot with UVSheltron’s Illuminant-3 disinfection tower to create a prototype UVC Robot (1.0) to disinfect office spaces of harmful pathogens. Now UVSheltron, MiR, Industrial Control, and MMTC are teaming to create a second robot model (2.0) that uses a detachable assembly or “cart” hosting the UVC device to moved by the MiR for robotic space disinfection. When not utilizing the UVC cart, the MiR may be tasked with other functions such as material delivery in an industrial operation.
