UVSheltron is pleased to announce the arrival of our new Chief Executive Officer—Rear Admiral John Palmer, U.S. Navy (Ret).  As a former supply corps officer, Mr. Palmer brings a wealth of logistics experience to UVSheltron.   Throughout his naval career, he deployed globally on four ships, and he also served ashore at a variety of locations including U.S. Pacific Fleet, Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command and multiple Joint Duty assignments.  He was entrusted with command over four units culminating in his most recent tour as Commander of DLA Land & Maritime where his teams procured nearly $6 billion in parts annually.  Mr. Palmer is a graduate of The Citadel, the Naval Postgraduate School, and Columbia University’s Senior Executive Program.

UVSheltron develops and manufactures products that perform Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI).  UVGI uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (ultraviolet C or UV-C) light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their RNA/DNA leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions.  UV-C disinfection relies on radiation emitted in the wavelength range of 250 nm to 280 nm to inactivate pathogens.  UV-C light kills over one hundred types of harmful microorganisms (including coronavirus) and also stops viral/bacterial reproduction.
